Maruti stated that the price hike is the result of a steady rise in input costs and strong inflationary pressures, and it’s imperative for the company to pass on some of that burden to customers. However, Maruti isn’t the only automaker to do so. Brands such as Hyundai, Kia and Tata Motors have also announced price hikes, citing similar reasons.
