Indian Motorcycle has announced a partnership with Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde, a Dutch exhaust manufacturer that specialises in electronically adjustable exhaust systems. The agreement will see the company’s products retailed through Indian Motorcycle dealerships across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

  1. Exhausts offer three switchable sound modes that can be changed while riding
  2. All systems comply with noise regulations in their intended markets
  3. Covers Indian models dating back to 2014, as well as future product launches

The exhaust systems feature three electronically adjustable sound modes

Each exhaust system offers three distinct sound profiles – Dr. Jekill, Dynamic and Mr. Hyde – allowing riders to alter the character of the exhaust note at the press of a button. The system can be adjusted on the move and works via a control unit that communicates with the motorcycle’s ECU, regulating a butterfly valve within the exhaust system.

According to Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde, all three modes remain compliant with European noise regulations, with the system automatically operating within the legal limits set for the motorcycle.

Indian says dealerships across the EMEA region will stock a full range of compatible exhaust systems, with staff training and technical support included as part of the partnership. The agreement covers Indian Motorcycle’s current lineup, while also supporting models dating back to 2014 and future motorcycles introduced by the brand.
