Compared to the outgoing version, the Innova Crysta’s prices have gone up by at least Rs 32,000 to as much as Rs 83,000, depending on the variant. Both the standard and fleet versions of the GX variant are priced identically and can be had in a 7- or an 8-seater layout. The top-spec ZX trim is exclusively available in the 7-seater guise.
The updated Crysta gets revised front grille and chrome bumper garnishes. Like at the front, Toyota has made changes to the bumper garnishes at the rear. Depending on the variant, features such as automatic LED projector headlights, halogen fog lamps and 16/17-inch alloy wheels are on offer.
As for the interior, it gets a new dual-tone seat upholstery, and several trims come finished in Grace Copper, including those on the steering wheel and doors. Toyota has also refreshed the detailing across AC controls, switches and the seatback table for second-row passengers. To enhance convenience, a wireless charger (VX and ZX trims) and a tyre-pressure monitoring system (ZX trim) have been added.
The availability of features such as ambient lighting, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, automatic climate control, an 8-way powered driver’s seat, push-button start/stop and cruise control depends on the variant. In terms of safety, ABS with EBD and hill-start assist are standard. The GX and GX+ trims are equipped with 3 airbags, while the rest feature 7 airbags.
As mentioned before, no changes have been made under the hood, and the Innova Crysta continues with its 150hp, 343Nm 2.4-litre diesel engine, paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Eco and Power drive modes are standard.
