Tata Motors has launched the updated Tiago EV at a starting price of Rs 6.99 lakh. The new Tiago EV gets revised exterior styling, a redesigned dual-tone interior, added features, improved safety and updated charging capabilities, while retaining its existing battery pack options. The Tiago EV is currently the most affordable electric car in India, and it continues to rival the MG Comet EV and Citroen eC3.

  1. Revised front and rear styling with connected LED tail-lamps
  2. Gets six airbags, 360-degree camera and blind-view monitor
  3. Continues with 19.2kWh and 24kWh battery pack options

2026 Tata Tiago EV: Interior

Redesigned dual-tone cabin

Inside, the Tiago EV gets a completely redesigned dual-tone dashboard with a free-standing 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a part-digital TFT instrument cluster that also supports Bluetooth functionality. Tata says it has heavily upgraded the Tiago EV’s E&E architecture with increased processing power to support all the new features the car gets. These include connected car tech with over 40 functions, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, cruise control, new rear AC vents, a cooled glove box, auto-folding outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs), a height-adjustable driver’s seat, four speakers and a new rotary drive selector.

The Tiago EV also gets new door pads, a front centre armrest, new grey fabric upholstery and a redesigned centre console finished in gloss black. And while the two-spoke steering wheel has been carried over from before, it gets a new offset ‘Tata.ev’ logo.

As for safety, the updated Tiago EV now gets six airbags as standard, replacing the dual-airbag setup offered earlier. Tata has even added a 360-degree camera with multiple viewing modes and a blind-view monitor. Other safety equipment includes ESP with traction control, hill-hold assist, a tyre-pressure monitoring system (TPMS), torque vectoring by braking and ABS with EBD. Automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers and follow-me-home headlamps are available too. Additionally, Tata Motors says it has strengthened the hatchback’s structural rigidity for improved crash protection.

2026 Tata Tiago EV: Battery, range and charging

Two battery pack options available

The Tiago EV continues with two battery pack options: 19.2kWh and 24kWh. The smaller-battery variants produce 61hp and 110Nm, and those with the larger unit develop 75hp and 114Nm. As for the MIDC range, it has declined to 285km from 293km for the 24kWh version while increasing slightly to 226km from 223km for the 19.2kWh version. The company’s claimed real-world C75 range figures stand at 160-170km and 205-215km, respectively.

Tata says the Tiago EV now charges 40 percent faster, adding 100km range in 18 minutes. It also supports DC fast charging, where both batteries can be topped up from 10 to 80 percent in 35 minutes using a 30kW DC fast charger. As standard, the Tiago EV is offered with 3.3kW and 7.2kW AC charging options.

The updated Tiago EV comes with four levels of regenerative braking and City, Sport and Drive modes. Tata claims a 0-60kph time of 5.7 seconds for the 24kWh version.

The carmaker is even extending a lifetime, unlimited kilometres warranty on the high-voltage battery pack for the 24kWh version to the first registered owner. The 19.2kWh version continues with an 8-year/1.6 lakh km battery warranty.

All prices are ex-showroom, India.
