Ducati has expanded its single-cylinder Hypermotard range with the new Hypermotard 698 Mono Nera. Set to arrive at European dealerships in June 2026, the Nera brings a new black-and-red livery, additional standard equipment and cosmetic updates to Ducati’s supermoto.
The biggest visual change comes from the “Nera” treatment, which gives the motorcycle an all-black appearance contrasted by Ducati Red wheels and frame. The bike also gets homologated Termignoni silencers with black-finished end cans and red detailing. Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) Up/Down is offered as standard on the Nera.
Powering the Hypermotard 698 Mono Nera is Ducati’s 659cc Superquadro Mono single-cylinder engine, which produces 77.5hp and revs to 10,250rpm. Derived from the 1299 Panigale’s twin-cylinder engine, it uses Ducati’s Desmodromic valve timing system and carries over several internal components and technologies from the superbike platform. Ducati says the Hypermotard 698 Mono weighs 151kg ready-to-ride without fuel.
The electronics package includes cornering ABS with a dedicated Slide-by-Brake function, traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control, launch control and multiple riding modes. Ducati also offers a racing Termignoni exhaust for track use, which increases output by 7hp.
The Hypermotard 698 Mono Nera is priced at EUR 13,990 in Europe or Rs 15.61 lakh, when converted to INR based on current exchange rates. Ducati has not yet confirmed whether the motorcycle will be launched in India.
